Lori Press
Administrative Coordinator
Lori Press (she/her) identifies as an African American and Black woman. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Lori's upbringing was filled with both the rich cultural heritage of her community and the challenges posed by the prevailing racial dynamics of the region.
From as early as middle school, Lori exhibited a natural inclination toward engaging in tough conversations about racial issues. She was deeply passionate about understanding the complexities of race relations and fostering open dialogue to address the systemic inequalities that she witnessed in her surroundings. However, growing up in the deep South, a region where such conversations were often suppressed or met with resistance, she found it difficult to express her thoughts and ideas openly.
Undeterred by the obstacles she faced, Lori embarked on a journey of self-education, seeking knowledge from her family and other mediums that could provide guidance on the path she was eager to pursue. Her determination to break down barriers and foster positive change led her to pursue a higher education that continues to empower her with the skills necessary to impact the world around her.
As Administrative Coordinator at Co-Creating Inclusion, Lori plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning and success of the organization's diversity and inclusivity initiatives. She is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various administrative tasks that support the team's day-to-day operations.
Lori has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is pursuing a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
