Take the next step

Request a consult

If you’re interested in finding out more about working with us, we’ve designed and iterated on a process to best make use of both your and our time to support you in deciding if you would like to proceed with one of our exploratory tracks.

The next step is to request a DEI consult.

Our consult request form

This initial intake will likely take you 5-10 minutes to complete, or more, depending on how much detail you feel comfortable providing.

This is an opportunity for you to take a breath, slow down, and gather your thoughts. More detail allows us to better prepare for our consult. However, we don’t want you to get stuck overthinking it!

Please fill out the questions to the degree that it feels supportive of what you need right now.

You can preview the questions here.

If you prefer, you can use the form to submit a written or audio response to the questions, or you can request a 15 minute call with one of our team who will walk you through the questions and take your information. The form allows for these options once you have provided your initial contact information.

Please fill out the form above or go here to submit your request.

After you have requested a consult, here are the steps we typically follow:

1. Consult scheduling and prep

Once we’ve received your request, we’ll review your information and reach out to schedule a time to chat. Before we talk, we may also ask you to provide some additional background information. This is optional, but helps us to make the best use of your and our time on our call. We’ll also invite you to review specific sections of our website if you haven’t already.

2. The consult itself

During our call, we’ll start with introductions. Then we will typically provide a brief recap on our overall approach and what we’ve heard from you so far, and we’ll undoubtedly have follow-up questions for you.

Our primary goal is to hear more from you, and for you to be able to ask us questions and review our exploratory packages together so you can make a decision about whether you would like to proceed.

For this reason, we ask that, if possible, all the decision makers be present for the call. However, we understand that is not always possible and a second call may be needed. What we don’t want to do is put you in a position where you have to go back and “pitch” us to a decision maker on our behalf - we prefer and are happy to meet with decision makers directly.

3. Making a decision

Once we have met with you, our goal is to support you in making a decision, whether it is to proceed with us or not. We’ll help you determine what other steps need to be taken for that decision to be made (for example, we are always happy to provide referrals) and set an overall timeline for the decision making, so we can follow up with you appropriately. If you decide not to proceed, we simply ask that you let us know in a timely fashion.

Preparing for a longer-term engagement

For a longer-term engagement, the first step is to proceed with one of our exploratory tracks, during which time we can more thoughtfully design a longer-term scope that is responsive to your needs.

We have found that this process best sets us and our clients up for success in our work together. This is because it allows the scope to be designed collaboratively to reflect the specific needs of the organization that can take a little time to uncover.

If you need help setting a budget for a longer term engagement, we can discuss that before or during our exploratory services.

Do you have an RFP process in place already?

If your organization has already established an RFP process, we are willing to consider responding, but we do require a conversation first and ask that you fill out our consult request form to get this set up. We look forward to hearing from you and discussing opportunities for collaboration and impact.
