Our new website is live!
Our new website is live and we invite you to take a look: http://cocreatinginclusion.com.
It was hard to prioritize working on this because our previous site was working! Potential clients told us they were drawn to us because of it, that we were true to how we described ourselves, and then they hired us and generally proved to be a good fit.
However, it was also based on something created three years ago and while it was still true to who we are, it didn't reflect all of the work and iteration and deepening of our methodology that has happened since then through the work with all of our incredible clients.
Our hope is that the new site (which we will continue to iterate on) will mean we have less work to do to determine fit up front, and that it will better attract/filter the right clients going forward.
This website is a love letter - to our team, our clients, our work, and the world.
Something interesting that has come up is that the site is essentially designed to de-escalate rather than create the kind of "sense of urgency" of traditional marketing that "drives sales". This is because we are not looking to convince website visitors of the importance of DEI, that’s not where we do our best work or how we can create the most impact - although we WILL help you get buy-in from your organization.
On the contrary, more often than not, we've found that potential clients frequently come to us with an urgency out of which harm often results, for it is when we are in urgency and scarcity that we are most likely to cause harm.
Yes, this work is urgent, but it has been for centuries, and nothing is going to get fixed overnight.
We are also often booked up a few months out so can't necessarily respond to a crisis situation (if it truly is a crisis and not white anxiety driven by guilt), although we will consider it.
At any rate, with that in mind, we welcome any feedback. How does the site make you feel? If you were looking for a DEI consultant, does it help you make an initial determination about whether we might be a good fit or not? Is there anything that is unclear? How about from the perspective of a staff member that has just found out we’ve been hired to do DEI work with their organization?
Feel free to contact us - we would love to hear from you.
